They will run the future sure and if you can't beat em etc. I get this no problem. But which fucking ones? I'm starting to think abut this more seriously as the robots around us now look like potential leaders of the next generation or at least useful icons, right?
The sniper robot flying drones are a decent bet, I like that they were fine tuned by competent rational pilots because people like that are good bridgers between a.i. and the rest of us.
But so are the sex bots, yes? And they will be trained but something better than each of us than war. In most cases.

they say that our cells renew constantly and so our meatbag is not the same bunch of cells we were born with. i wonder if it changes your thoughts and perceptions too? and i wonder if you stay in one place does it change mildly cos new cells are created un the same environment and if you've lived in loads of places do those different environment affect the cells as they renew. And does this physical change also impact how we think and feel? I'm so entirely a different person as a kid, teen, pretty much every decade - but then I move around a lot - different food, air, water, society. From a purely scientifc perspective your cell regenerate but your DNA stays the same except that it tends to degrade overtime.
Exposure to carcinogen, chemicals, radiation and everything else (drugs?) can trigger mutations in your DNA as well.
From discussions with researchers the social and wider environment also induce mutations in individual.
From a philosophical, mysticla or religious perspective there are questions of whether there is such a thing as ego (Buddhism), Soul,etc.
I guess that a interesting place where science and philosohy/spirituality meet is the nature of consciousness: is it a quantum process given that enuronal activity involves particles such as electrons etc.
Scientists such as Roger Penrose have pondered this subject and I hope that in an hypothetical future (or another sentient species somewhere else in the current Universe) will be able to attain syncretic knowledge fusing spiritual and scientific approaches.

Mutations in DNA are both a blessing and curse, can lead to evolutionary steps that aid us in some way (super powers), or degenerate and cause weak links such as susceptibility to diseases and cancer.
I have a stoned thought for you all. Let's say Adam and Eve were real and were made perfect able to live for incredibly long periods of time, no intellectual limitation and possibly other manifesting abilities.
How ever as we know if you have a closed group of a particular species where its impossible for a outsider to enter the mix, over time those species will gradually become more and more inbred (look at guineafowl with blue necks when healthy and able to mix with other groups, but when isolated their necks gradually turn white, they loose the blue because of repeating genetic inputs)
So Adam and Eve have kids, kids have kids etc etc, but there are no outsiders, they are constantly inbreeding, and basically we are all inbreds, we have no where near the capacities our ancestors had, we are not as strong, we are more susceptible to diseases, our brains are getting weaker (partly our own faults for staring at screens rather than actively engaging and learning) white people can't even be in the sun for long due to burns and cancer risk.
Blue bloods only mix as appropriate to retain certain important traits and the rest of us just do what ever. but have you noticed that if an outsider like an immigrant produces offspring with a local which it is impossible that there is any genetic similarity, that the off spring are on high average incredibly beautiful, charismatic and intelligent.
now I'm not saying Adam and eve were real as per religious texts, but if figuratively speaking Adam and Eve were collects names for very small groups of nomads in the far reaches of pangaea then the same situations occurs.

I'm completely different to who I used to be. For me it seems to come down to life experiences and the company we keep. I sometimes wish I could go back to being the old me, but it would only lead to unhappiness.
We are what we carry and we were what we left behind. What will be will be. Rinse and repeat.
Physically, changes in environmental conditions will change us - to what extent, I don't know but extremes would be exposure to poisons or freezing temperatures. There's also temporary resets, I call them, where one could end up in situations which are new to us and we employ the mode which is the simplest at the time. Could just be a one off social event or a regular switch, like sliding into the persona of your work self, or going into holiday mode for a couple of weeks.
Our true selves, higher consciousness or whatever, must constantly evolve to keep up with any physical & biological changes whether temporary or not, I'd have thought.
Also, if we change our thinking, consciously or not, then we have the opportunity to see ourselves from a different perspective.
This altered viewpoint will impact our divine self accordingly. We should aim to implement beneficial changes which will ultimately align our earthly & spiritual selves with our true purpose and then we get to fck off somewhere an awful lot better than this hellish shit fest of an existence.

Good stoned topic! I think the answer is yes and no, I’m a very different person to who I once was, I’ve grownm, matured, my views have changed and so has the world.. a lot! But at the same time I am still me a 5 and 15 feel like I’ve been growing into the person I was meant to be all along if that makes sense. It’s more than just life experience as two people can have exactly the same experiences and be very different genetics, personality and ultimately who we want to be play a big roll. Just my 2 pence ✌️
This has intrigued me. Are you saying that each moment is a separate reality from the moments preceding and following? How long is a moment? What about any momentos one may have acquired? They are a physical reminder of a moment but which moment would we associate with that memento when it triggers a memory by its very existence?
The idea that we are one self is not widely accepted by psychologists any more... So no.

you can have some great ideas with weed. just remember to note them down and not tell yourself you can remember.. a few minutes is usually enough to forget.
alcohol on the other hand.. quite literally shutting down the functioning part of your brain. so what you think is genius after several pints is nearly always the ramblings of an idiot when the blood returns to your brain.
it's no wonder society is becoming more brain dead every generation when we celebrate the latter but punish the former. cheers.

I find certain strains great for creativity- especially blue cheese, wedding cake and fat banana! It’s weird though... I am a reasonably creative person but I have ADHD and cognitive dyslexia, so I have tonnes of ideas flitting in and out of my head all the time, but rarely write them down because I’m doing doing like 20 things. Weed seems to slow things down enough for me to focus on one idea so I can work on it.
Alcohol just gives me a huge red bumpy rash on my face and elbows (weird I know), makes me feel ill instantly, and then I just fall asleep.

On balance most my drunk/high ideas are dumb. But occasionally they’re amazing, things I’d probably not thought of otherwise. I think I get more good/creative ideas with weed.
But I think the disparity comes from the real difference—kinds of connections I make. Weed seems to expand the world and I make new connections between different things(e.g. my mom went deaf, but if she was born death would she still think in english?).

Inevitably anything you do on drink ends up with you either feeling embarrsed or in some cases, ashamed the next day lol. The drunker you are the worse decisions you make and stupidity overtakes any creativity. On the other hand on weed, sometimes i can be too wasted, locked to the couch to do anything, but, if im in he middle of something that requires tunnel vision type focus, and i have the right weed, i have had some very productive days/ late nights on the weed...im a coder by the way

Although not a coder in its purest sense, my job requires me to solve technical problems on a wide range of systems, platforms and languages (i.e trawling Stack Overflow) and I find that cannabis absolutely helps with my understanding of more complex issues which seem out of reach sober.
I don’t know if there’s something going on with the clever part of my brain doing it’s work or just the tuning out of the days noise that helps but time and again a stoned me trumps my sober self in certain situations.
Note that the clever part of my brain has never shown itself on drink……

100% agree, Alcohol has only even damaged lives, dampens your conscisous and numbs. Psychedelics on the other hand, opens your mind, connects us with the universe and encourages us to work on ourselves for the better. Our LSD and weed journeys have only ever encouraged us to open our hearts and mind, highlighing our common values and a drive to work together for a better world :-)

Ignore this if you’ve already tried it, but have you tried some of the stronger sativa strains? They can make you super productive and creative at the same time. My faves for this are blue cheese and wedding cake. I haven’t tried loads of strains but of the ones I have tried- these seem to work best (for me anyway!) Happy New Yurrr

Speaking for myself. Cannabinoids and ethanol can achieve more psychedelic effects together than each on their own. It's truly amazing, how trippy it can get, as far as not too much alcohol is taken. Ideally have a beer or little wine, but no shots.
Shorts rather than shots….finest tequila (100% agave) sipped with weed takes me to a very good place😻🤩

I smoke to get stoned but I usually don’t drink to get drunk and I think that’s the difference. Drinking great quality booze in reasonable quantities with convivial company can easily be more creative than some of the daft bolloxsh I come out with when I’m high 😂

Since i start smoking and found out about LB instead of the cops knocking the door i have the RM guy who also smiles at me. Alchool is out of my life now. Smoking for me works for almost everything creativity , studying, chilling and going to sleep.

Dinner is midday, tea is evening - proof that I'm not 'posh' and anyone saying different is 😂. And it's clearly a 'cob'! After living all over I finally moved back 20 miles away from where I grew up - and get nothing but blank stares when asking for a 'cob'! 🤷♂️😂. A lot of the carcinogens generated are from burning plant matter, given concentrates remove a lot of plant matter, my guess would be they are less carcinogenic than flowers.

My missus says I twitch in my sleep when I’m really stoned. Says she can judge the potency of my gear based on the level of nighttime twitching.

Personally, I do not think we are in one. We think, feel, act based off our own choices - Decartes said it best: "I think, therefore I am".
Our universe - regardless if possibly only one amongst an incalculable sum in the omniverse - is complex, to say the least. There are rules and foundations so intricate which seemingly have no boundaries. Our universe expands at such a rate, that to keep such a simulation running would require far more energy than it gives back... Energy is not infinite, keep that in mind.
A civilisation capable of such a simulation would be nigh-omnipotent, capable of creating their own universes and would literally be revered as 'Godly'.
Even then, living in such a 'simulation' is no longer just living as slaves to your nigh-omnipotent architects; we have free will of thought and action, and therefore what may seem a simulation is actually our reality - we have no 'life' outside this one, if we are in a simulation.
It is far better to accept this as your reality, not through comfort nor apathy, than to spend whatever intellectual capacity one may have on breaking impossible-to-reach barriers.
Even knowing that you are in one, should that be the case, will not enlighten your life any further; if anything, it may motivate you to end your 'life' if for no reason but to 'escape' such a slavery.
Whatever the case, whether a simulation or not, and if you really are just a number in some universal scale, this is your home. You will not escape it, and even if you did would you really want to? Knowing how it turned out for them? Probably not, but if VR MMO's ever become a real, affordable thing i'd definitely give it a go. SOA was my favourite anime for ages, did not like it as much re-watching it sadly.
Also, I know nobody asked but isn't it all over the place? Going from an MMO to a Fairy MMO to a Shooter MMO all the while kind of glossing over all them feelings about being forced to survive in a game, or never REALLY getting to sort out what was going on outside the game.

Yeah I agree that was like the whole premise for it, I don't know whether there was a Manga before when all the other worlds came out or whether they just finished S1 and some angry Japanese feller comes in with a ciggy hanging out his mouth "NEXT SEASON THINK OF SOMETHING GO!"

i am creatively paralysed until someone can help me out on this
laws are made to be challanged just ask borris. me neibour has complained twice so i bought a huge carbon filter and it still gets into his house ffs now im masking the smell with incence sticks. i a, sorry for him but i chain smoke all day every day so going outside to smoke just wont work so we at a stalmate cos i wint stop the one activity i do that benifits every cell in my body. this guy is 65 years old and just anti all illegal drugs lol. his idea how to get me to stop was to verbaly threaten me with a thump haha since that threat i now couldnt give a fuck if its getting inti his castle. clearly he has no concept of live n let live. must add that he can only smell it when the wind blows in his direction but i have news for him i dont contril the weather dood! Peace!

The issue that i am more concerned with is that those who consume aren't treated the same. Even in many so called legal areas social acceptance is still far from what it is let's say towards tobacco, alcohol, video games or social media addictions.
But anyways, bless the non-stroners - more goodness for us.

I dnt think we need a name, im happy being the one with the names like stoner and pot head as it just shows how weak minded people are. Haters is a good fit though.
