I've finally gotten around to playing High on Life. I'm enjoying having humanity in the palm of my hands a bit too much 😜
In 2013 Jagex who own Runescape found backups of the game before they screwed it up basically, and it was files from 2007.
A small team took over it as a side project and it’s amazing it’s constantly updated and is Oldschool RuneScape that runs alongside RuneScape 3 which is the updated game that has a lot fewer players.

I keep seeing this creep back up on Steam. I played this waaaaaaay back when it was an ARMA 2 mod and it still stands out as one of the most interesting online experiences. Like 99% of it was utter shit, running around an enormous map, janky as fuck zombies, not seeing a single person, randomly breaking your legs and then getting killed by someone you never even saw. But fuccck when it was that 1% it was something really special.
Well…..funny question. Its never been fully fixed it has constantly been getting fixed and updated and patched and what not. Its looking better than it ever has. If you haven’t played for years you would be shocked as to what its become now. I only play on console but I am moving to pc soon so I can get all the maps that the main streamers play on. On console dayz we only have chernarus and livonia to explore.
On pc you have like a near enough unlimited number of some amazing maps now.
For example, deer isle,
takistan, esseker. Theyre just to name a few. Its quit insane. Never known a game like it 🤣

Ohhh man the map! I forgot about the map. I remember I was working at a place that had a huge printer capable of printing on canvas for construction signs etc.
I printed like a 6ft by 6ft (way bigger than I realised) copy of the map onto canvas. It was absolutely beautiful......and no real help whatsoever aha!
What route you going with on the PC front Finbar? Building or buying? Is the whole graphics card shortage over yet? I'd seriously recomend taking a look at the STALKER mod - Anomaly when you do get one. It feels like the single player ancestor to a lot of these style of games IMO.

You haven’t played for a long time it seems. Check out youtube and youll see how much its blown. Watch “the running man z” and “fresh spawns” youll get the jist. Yes sir you have definitely played DayZ! 🤣🫶
Also, the last of us has an online called factions multiplayer. There is nothing like that either. Supply raid is basically a 4v4 each team starts on 20 then it goes down to sudden death potentially. All in all great games if you love the zombie apocalypse scenario. The last of us story mode is the best story I have ever watched. I was guttered when they deviated in some parts from the game compared to the series. It is what it is I suppose haha
If you want a good idea of how you play it so you learn quickly. Watch therunningmanz and fresh spawns. Trust me dude. This isnt just a game. Youll soon realise. Just remember to have fun along your painful journey! 🤣

We are watching entire categories of jobs disappear in real time now and the new jobs are niche at best. What else can we do to prevent millions falling into poverty?
Wouldn't it be great if we had community owned cafes and shops?
Community cafes where fresh food is grown on site and seasonal food is made to serve. Anyone is welcome even if you can't pay. Rent is heavy reduce as it's council owned.
We have local repairs shops that have experts and volunteers to help you fix items for free. Or you can donate it and it'll help them raise money to put back into the repair shop.
This is normalised across the country and it's access to everybody.
I believe this would change mind sets and give a huge sense of community and purpose along with create jobs and opportunities which benefits the local community.

There are currently 1.8 jobs for every employable person in the US. Post pandemic people have chosen not to go back to work or to work on their own terms without fearing the consequences. Much of this is funded by the trillions stashed during the pandemic and logically must get spent eventually but attitudes to work have shifted dramatically. What used to be benefit ‘safety nets’ are now viable alternatives to work. How this will ultimately be funded is the great conundrum of our times….
The whole system is rigged from the start and people falling into poverty is the plan of the global 1%. UBI does not work in our current system because of inflation and how businesses would just raise the price of everything even if we got UBI. People on UBI would live just to turn their light bulbs on and nothing else( no holiday, no new tv, if something breaks you have to not eat for 3 months etc). Unfortunately they see poor people as dumb peasants that should be slowly eradicated."You live pay check to pay check it's your fault you are too stupid to improve your life."
Perhaps we should stop relying on China for all our stuff and bring manufacturing jobs back to the West?

I'll chip in 20 bucks for a real comparison with winners and losers instead of the infomercial shite you get around here.
I would encourage online video reviews of the strain - it is really useful to get a rough idea of how something hits. Heck, small things like "this one has an unusual aroma" or "not the strongest, but smokes like a dream" are always good to learn.
The only thing I would advise against is naming the the seller and/or this website. I appreciate that weed might be perfectly legal where you live, but that isn't the case for everybody. We rely on this site staying a little off the beaten path.

video reviews would be a great addition to this website. i'd say make the videos 'unlisted' on youtube so only people with the link can access it, but you probably already know that.
Have a chat with Budzinho who tried to get this started and was posting the link here to his YouTube video. It got mixed reception and the videos kept getting flagged. I’m not entirely sure what the issues are but pictures and text on this topic wall seem the best way to go….

Product reviews have to be paid for by yourself otherwise they fall under the Incentivized Post's category which will result in a ban.
If your doing it solely for the love of the site and expect nothing in return then why not.

I want to do it for the love of weed. All I want is a good quality product, from a good quality vendor. I want to review the vendor and their products. I am happy to pay for everything myself, I have been buy cannabis products for over 30 years. So to review what I buy is no problem at all. The only thing holding me back. Is the vendors them selves. I am honest and straight to the point. My reviews will obviously not be anonymous there will be upset vendors I’m sure. My question is will this then affect me from buying from vendors that aren’t to happy.

It was Elton John's 150th birthday and I had nothing to wear...
then suddenly i saw it, a corsett shaped like a pinball machine, i couldnt believe it the flippers were working dildos.

Someone already having an account doesn't stop a referral through a link. 🤐 Plus, maybe it gets gifted as they already have one, then someone else uses the link...? Maybe more than once...? Maybe they tell their friends to scan it when they ask on a night out? If people aren't using their referral links then they're potentially losing out on a lot of money. I’ve been in a weird stoned rabbit hole tonight researching ai and emps. I saw a lot of videos talking about the possibility of high level artificial intelligence some day in the future possibly taking over the human race, surely it would be fairly easy for humans to defend their selves by just using multiple EMP devices across the earth to damage all electrical equipment on earth, I know this would set the human race back a considerable amount of years but I think it would be worth it if it prevented an ai take over. There’s also the possibility that ai could try and defend its self using faraday cages or potentially moving it’s self off planet, but I think EMP may be are best hope. Any thoughts?

If the AI is already that advanced.. Then you have to assume it's already hatched a counter plan.. To our plan.. Thing is once we reach the singularity, around 2030 or earlier, ai will be capable of replicating at nearly the speed of light.. Building better versions of itself at a rate humans wouldn't be able to comprehend. I they look for the reason the earth is in peril.. They'll discover that people are to blame. Skynet doesn't seem so bizzare these days. As for emps.. Probably computer controlled so again they've already realised and countered it. I'm extremely interested in the merging of AI with quantum computers. The very nature of quantum physics and AI combined in the wrong hands is very disturbing to say the least.
It will probably already be using satellites. The problem is that a genuine AI will learn from mistakes and constantly improve itself. The other problem is we share all of our ideas and knowledge online which it can analyse. I don't thinks it's good news :(
No, EMP is not a targeted thing, any EMP over a specific area will kill all technology in that area, including power and infrastructure we need to fight against AI. It would be a very clear example of cutting off your nose to spits your face. Unless somebody invents EMP that can target only specific devices, this is dead in the water.

long term effects you've experienced from cannabis?
have you been been re-wired? i know i think much more openly than as a padawon and my control group of friends/haters is the opposite.
I have a few side affects
Intolerance to people's BS
An overwhelming desire to do fuck all
A lack of dreams (mine were crushed years ago anyway)
An unexplainable hatred of Ed Sheeran
And I have also found I still have the purile humour of a school boy

True but my hatred goes beyond rational, to the point that half of my life is dedicated to plotting various methods of his demise. My favourite would be to not actually kill him but plant some kiddy porn on his PC, ruin him proper, Glitter styley
Long term use has a deleterious effect on my short term memory and cognitive function (although it seems to stabilise a few months in). I can mitigate some of those losses by taking CBD before bed, but it sucks because it also kills your buzz.
Also, not sure this is a side effect or a benefit, but I often have moments of insight and clarity while high. Things I'll bury away, procrastinate over, or stuff that simply exists in my subconscious will come to the fore. In some people that triggers paranoia and anxiety, but for me it's a catalyst to grab a pen and record my inner monologue.
That said, I'm due a huge break (starting March), as I have some writing jobs to do and I need to learn to drive because my mum is chronically ill.
Time to sharpen the old pencil for a few months and then blunt it in the summer.🤩

Paragraph 2! Spot on. During a paragraph 2 moment, i decided to report my manager to the Regulatory Authority for our industry. Which I then did.
Weight gain. All strains manage to give me the munchies, and my self-control flies out the window. I can plow through a block of Soreen in under five minutes - I shit you not!
Yep I've deffo got the weight gain going on. Currently "trying" to diet 🙃 now wheres them choccy bickies 🤣

It's the tastiest, lowest-fat snack I've found so far. Four green and one orange on the health traffic lights. I wish I could trade it for Dairy Milk, but that's when the serious poundage appears.

The only real negative effect for me is short term memory loss, which the pros massively outweight the cons.
I have Asperger's but smoking weed helps massively, my thoughts tend to race but with weed it slows everything down, I can focus on one thing.
This is huge for me because the racing thoughts leas to anxiety as I'm trying to think of too much too quickly and a lot small, simple problems combine and it feels overwhelming. Not with weed though.

Lots of commercial hash about at the time which was demotivating in hindsight.
The weed mostly skunk and I remember fondly the laughs had, and epiphanies too.
I was a late teenager and combined with hallucinogens and later spiritual practices had some kind of brain rewiring that was terrifying and awe inspiring.
I’d quit for nearly 20 years before trying again about 4 year ago but that grew and I’ve been consuming and experimenting daily since lockdown. I even grew my own - 3 solo cups of StarDawg, Black Hulk and Easy Bud. Well proud!
I’ve always been sensitive and having a more psychedelic experience wasn’t uncommon. Even on tiny one hitters and I had a year of not only having a tiny tolerance but intense highs that were mostly bringing my subconscious to the surface and tbh all hell broke loose in all areas of my life. Like psychedelics, if you are of the persuasion to be interested in the big questions or have a past that’s traumatic, then it’s going to make you face it and give you the stark reality of the human experience.
I’ve been able to work through it but I fear for the masses who are embarking on their inner journeys unprepared. Not my circus but I have a heart and an understanding that the truths revealed can be devastating to the mind as well as freeing, perhaps providing the liminal space for humans to evolve that’s drowned out by this materialistic and oppressive world.
I love being high. It’s addicting for me. The escape. The creativity and ability to think and pose multi-angled concepts is simply exhilarating and I believe can help solve some of our most challenging problems globally, and locally in our families - my wife hates it but prefers me on it for example. Her hate is ignorance mind.
I’ve realised that for me, daily is more about tolerance, habit and escape. It’s our choice but you have to live with the costs and as someone said, the weeks and years go by and one can be happy with just taking life in… philosophically, I do have issues with this so I’m looking to be more ritualistic and purposeful with it as well as have moments when just to enjoy and experiment.
I’ve been shocked by the tolerance build up which really became noticeable after I found LB 🤣 seems a waste as I found in the last 2 months that the high doesn’t hit as hard or as long and that sucks ‘cause you feel like you’re chasing the buzz but it’s not, it’s the escape for me, but I’m aware of it, and I’m in control.

also started using cannabis again in lockdown after about 20 years.... looking out the windows high AF thinking fuck this shit was true enlightenment lol
Yeah, weed makes me super withdrawn if I let myself smoke all the time, it's ended relationships and has brought my current one to the brink, Im trying therapy and smoking less indica during the day.

Once you know what’s really in your head it becomes easy. Bud makes you really understand, helps you get deep into your thoughts. It’s like a light bulb moment when you wake. Takes alot of work but we keep on tokin 😁

After ~15 years of heavy use daily I've got short/long term memory loss but I used to take other drugs so I'm not sure. I've got a neuralogical disability and weed helps keep me out of a wheelchair ect. The desire to be alone is because of choosy beggars not weed. Also I'm a huge man baby, also unrelated (maybe).
As with everything, moderation is key, as a habitual smoker, smoking daily for many years through pipe or bong, minimal use of tobacco, I am unsure whether its caused or calmed my temper.
The mental addiction is apparent whenever I try to detox or take a break i.e, low mood, depressive thoughts, lack of appetite (physical?)
It's all perspective and a lack of dopamine production so I am aware of my low mood when I feel it but can be hard to pull away from without distraction, it comes to pass after a few days, though the mood swings and negativity have already done their damage.
I think I have developed a bit of a dependency on it, the only solution is a long break.
I have a total love/hate relationship with the plant but right now it keeps me calm, very calm.

Long term for me personally it's had negative effects on a huge scale. I am day 4 off weed and feel so happier. I have seen lots same similar. I am dreaming again. Gym and Swimming. Weed really kept and held me back all my life.
Similar to psychedelics, it brings anything I’m avoiding or ignoring to bare. Which can lead to both productive and counterproductive action. Overall I think it helps expand consciousness if you’re willing, appreciate nature and the fact you are part of it. Not something that’s alien and just here by fluke. Sometimes I think it activates something that throws subliminal tests at you. For instance with the munchies, I know not to eat veggie oils, colourants, refined sugar and anything processed/ not organic. But when stoned to the bone that bag of haribo or sitting doing nothing sure does appeal. if I cave and do the above, the next day I’m almost ashamed I let the gremlin win. But if I push through eat some fruit and go climb that mountain, I feel instantly fulfilled. I know this may be abit nonsensical but I’ve been sober this week😂

I'm over 50, in gainful employment, reasonably fit and slim but an unhealthy diet for balance. Vape daily up to 0.4g but usually 0.2g max. Anyhoo, about 2g max a week but I'm using less strong flower just now, with better gear, I'd be using a lot less. Don't drink alcohol at all.
I too find incredible moments of clarity, especially after a hard day.
Vaping means i dehydrate a lot quicker and need to drink more water. I'd say my balance is less than 100% probably due to residual effects if anything. Overall I'm doing ok. The knowledge i have gained over the years and still need is not yet affected by daily use. Possibly a good barometer for things.

My short term memory isn’t what is used to be, and my short term memory isn’t that good either.
This is probably an old thread, but it’s been an interesting read. I relate to most of the comments.
I have to say I’m pretty sure my memory has been adversely affected, but it’s almost impossible to say for sure right? There’s loads of factors.
But, the benefits are pretty substantial like. The shift in perspective was huge for me, I think it’s why conspiracy guys are often stoners - there is a sense of enlightenment at times, as wanky as that sounds.
There’s something communal about smoking as well I think, and I think it tends to make people generally more community minded, nature friendly and left leaning. Could just be a correlation or whatever but it’s pretty cool imo.

Smoking weed helps me stay slim 🤣 I don’t get the munchies, I eat less, when I quit my snacking increases and I gain weight!

My postman is obviously a stoner, just the way he carries the back all slung back on his shoulder gives it away but he also looks like Wayne (or Garth I can't remember which one is which). I keep thinking I should offer him a bowl of the good shit but he delivers so much weed to me I think I'd be putting him in a bad position.
