Cowboy Bebop is amazing, beautifully written, drawn, and directed. Don't be turned off by the 1st episode which isn't very sci fi and more like film noir cliche stuff. The future world unfolds over the episodes along with the back story of how it evolved though another great thing is each episode stands independently.

What is the best Science Fiction Anime Series?
Absolute classic
There is supposed to be a live action movie coming out at some point in the future. I thought there would be a third season but l guess l am wrong.
Steins gate is class. Time travel sci fi. Bit of a slow burner but get past the first two episodes itโs quality on Netflix as well.
Steins;Gate is brilliant. Some unique characterisations and a great, but inevitably confusing, take on the time travel concept with a ton of real world references and conspiracies. Solid choice. However, I highly recommend this viewing order: Steins;Gate episodes 01-22 then episode 23β (alternate version of 23), Steins;Gate 0 episodes 01-23 (you can watch somewhere online or on Crunchyroll) then original Steins;Gate series episodes 23-24. Sounds confusing lol but honestly this is the best way to experience the story.
Finished kaiba the other night from this recommendation. Thought it was class, trippy as fuck.
I love the premise here with the mind-body interchange but its really hard for me to get past the drawing. It seems more like something out of Spain in the 1930s than Anime.
Don’t know if this is a mad suggestion or if literally everybody has seen it. But the Animatrix ?
9 (I think) half an hour animated films set within The Matrix universe. All are interesting and well animated, but a few are stellar.
There’s one created by Shinichiro Watanabe, of cowboy beebop and samurai champloo (my personal favourite).
If you haven’t seen it, buy the dvd and watch it; if you have seen it, back me up!
Peace

back that matrix up, it's awesome.
the back and forth between ghost in the shell and the matrix gets its best iteration right here.

dig this thanks
Terraformars (ใใฉใใฉใผใใผ, Terafลmฤ) are evolved humanoid cockroaches who live on Mars. They possess physical traits and skills that greatly surpass those of normal humans. They also appear to be somewhat intelligent and have a natural hatred for humans; much like how humans hate cockroaches.

not sure it qualifies as science fiction - but! try to watch it when high when high.
DOROHEDORO
i'd love to hear from you when you do.

Dorohedoro is fucking class. Watched the first season twice (high) then read the entire manga.
Was about to say this, superb Anime!!
Also, an oldie but a classic is "The guyver" bio booster armour!!!

Absolutely epic, then when you finished hit up mutronics and guyver: dark hero with mark Hamill ๐๐

serial experiment lain!!!, a bit old but still ahead of most anime... and I mean, Evangelion, if you have not seen it!
Deathnote was good, so was One Punch Man. Terror in Residence was really good too. And I quite liked Knights of Sidonia. Or just watch Akira and Ghost in the Shell and be done with it :)
Thanks for the tip. It should be cool just based on the fact that he did Samurai Jack. And Ive found out a movie version was made and even submitted to oscars (fck oscars tho!).. Nice!!
Sci fi anime faves:
Noein (short series based on quantum physics theory),
Gintama (comedy anime partly set in space),
Ergo proxy (short dystopian series in futuristic world),
Inuyashiki (Old man becomes a weaponized cyborg and you follow his story),
Parasyte (High school kid gets infected by an alien parasyte),
And last but not least!
Psycho pass, it has 3 seasons and about 5 movies on the same world. A world which is monitored by an expert crime a.i. program, people get a hue which shows how likely to commit crime you will be, it's hard to explain but definitely my favourite sci fi series for a while.

Edens Zero is a new series if you want somthing light hearted and not too heavy ... if you want heavy watch Gantz, Straight jacket, Karas ect.... Brynhildr in the Darkness is not bad ether has a sci-fi take on witches being aliens..
Trigun was one of my favourite highly recommended it. The 7 deadly sins is pretty cool.
Terra formars is one of my all time favorites, parasyte is great but more body horror than sci fi
Think someone has mentioned all of these, but still
gurren lagann, Evangelion, Cowboy bebop, Space Dandy, Legend of the galactic heroes are some of the heavy hitters that everyone should see
Planetes is lesser known and quite low stakes but really good show about a crew who live on a satellite and have to collect trash from earth's orbit
Kaiba is great if you can stomach the art-style and are high enough to understand what's going on

Steins Gate has to be number 1 itโs one of the best anime's even outside of just the sci fi category, I highly recommend it, it has really interesting plot-lines about time-travel. Parasyte is also another great watch along with cowboy bebop a classic futuristic western like show.
Cowboy Bebop. No qualifying statement required. It's a timeless classic. I wish I could see it for the first time again
Space dandy. Some really good episodes to watch stoned especially the first few.
Love death robots good shout.
Saiki k. Didn't watch stoned but really enjoyed it, might give it another look myself.
Non SciFi recommendation would be Kakegurui, if you haven't watched it watch it stoned it's really good. It's about gambling and girls that leak a lot of fluid.
Also 'close enough' is quite good to watch stoned from the makers of the regular show but for adults.
All should be on Netflix.

Castlevania on Netflix is awesome! Not really sci-fi but the art style is great and a nice spin on an old tale. I binge watched 3 seasons in like 3days lol
I am going to give a quirky suggestion and say Boogiepop Phantom. Otherwise, Cowboy Bebop.
(But once you are done with Cowboy Bebop, watch Samurai Champloo. It is Cowboy Bebop set in feudal Japan).

Have you seen her in Picard? She has aged so beautifully she could play one of Harry Mudd's women.
Iv not seen it yet been saving it for when the time is right :) she has aged so well.
She's defo one of Harry's women but didn't need to take the tablets to get there.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you'd be better watching red letter media's coverage of Picard. It's... got problems lol
Me and the gf liked her, how could you not...I’d probably turn les for her if I was a woman or is this some form of cognitive bias lol

Human Traffic (The Film)
I first watched it on a big screen at Glastonbury, chewing my face off. Takes me right back whenever I watch it
Human Traffic (The Film)
Can anyone remember this gem of a film from 1999. I found it in my attic and it is still a masterpiece after all these years. Anyone who is nostalgic about the nineties, get it watched now! I swear, you will not be disappointed.
Great film, special for me cos i lived with director for 4 years and he wrote it during that period. So its my early 20s on film pretty much. Nice one bruvva is an evolution of how we used to scream down the phone at each other, (and still do) with names instead of bruvva.
It is superb and just represents his zest for life and fun and sillyness and funny situations. Under table snorting scene just one example of the talent in the cinematography.
If you liked this, i would urge anyone to check out his largely unknown second film "i know you know". A different affair about him and his dad and mum, but stunning in different ways. Also his older college stuff, party politics, life in the bus lane. On YT somewhere i think.
The sequel to HT is confirmed btw in case you didn't know.

Wow, that is amazing. He captured a perfect picture of life and it is totally relatable. The whole film was so well done and the cast was just spot on. You will have to tell him how amazing he is. I was 19/20 when it came out and that was a typical weekend. It just gives you the warm and fuzzies. I would be totally buzzin’ if there was a sequel. I will have to do some digging and see if I can find his other stuff. Thank you.
Spot on bro I'll keep an eye out for that as human trafficking is a top film reminds me of my younger days ๐
Yeah all the old crowd that came up from London lots of the football factory boys just all about life on the estate all the capers etc great film
I first watched it on a big screen at Glastonbury, chewing my face off. Takes me right back whenever I watch it
I also saw this first on the big screen at Glastonbury, chewing my face off. Decided I wanted a cup of tea half way for some reason.. Thought someone had moved the bushes in front of me so I began to climb through it. The bushes hadn't moved.. I had crawled down the middle aisle in front of everyone, walked along the screen and preceded to climb through undergrowth.
Luckily some kind people came and pulled me out of the bush and explained to me what the fuck was going on and directed me to the nearby tea tent. Memory a bit patchy but I think I was having fun.
I miss the 90's sometimes.

Itโs amazing the memories this film brings back. I miss the 90s too. There was nothing like a good Mitsubishi pill to set you on a good weekender. I think we are all the same on here. We just want life back to what we had then.
Itโs a weird state of affairs when you are in a field in Somerset and you think. I know. Iโll go and watch Human Traffic.
A lovely state of affairs.
Where were you. When all my mates thought itโd be funny to go gabba. It wasnโt funny.
Iโd have gone and watched some totally weird Ken Russell film. (Altered States, anyone?)
Rather than having to go gabba.

I must admit, that part is spot on and I was always the interceptor of the spliff lol!
Morning! *sniffs* MORNING!!
Nurse! I need a pisspot and a jacket.....cause I'm fucked!
Literally one of my favourite movies of all time. He wen't from being a raver who takes pills on the weekend to going on grand adventures as The Hobit. Martin Freeman is a beast!
"Any jungle goin!?"
**sorry if I have ruined any quotes, my brain is only at half capacity today lol**

Not Martin Freeman dude, was John Sim who played the master in Dr Who. Also Andrew Lincoln in in it briefly who plays Rick in Walking Dead
No shit? Hahaha for literally years I was thinking it was the same dude, my bad. Cheers for that!
"You know how artists paintings go up in value when they die? Well rappers records go up when they get locked up. IT'S GOING TO BE BANNED!"
Koop scratching cracks me up " puffing da herb err ehh err ehh puf puf puf puf puffing da herb" or something like that lol.
And the whole "who the hell you been ringing in Taiwan boy" scene.
Such a great film. Pretty much summed up my late teens early 20s. The best days. :)

The whole thing cracks me up. It doesn’t matter how many times you watch it, you always find it funny. I think there is a little bit of all of us in that film. I’m defo a Lulu.
So true. I was definitely moff lol. I look back now amazed that I'm alive and heathy. Wouldnt dare get mashed now but thought nothing of dropping a few a back then. Was just part of going out in those days eh. Wouldn't change it for a thing though. Best days/nights of my life. Helter skelter, dreamscape, hysteria. Then later God's kitchen, progress, passion. I'd give anything to go back in time and do it all again. :)
You found reality then lol! I think if I dropped a pill now, I would die! I will stick to the green! I live in Scotland so the rave scene here was epic in the 90s. I wouldn’t change it for the world. There were no fights, everyone loved everyone, no one got offended and it was safe! I feel bad for the young ones now. They won’t get the experiences we had. The music was on another level too.
I think we know you mean John Simm and not Martin Freeman. At least you know the film though. Makes me so nostalgic for my 90s lifestyle. It was an amazing time to be off your face.
"The Emperor wants to control outer space, Yoda wants to explore inner space. That's the fundamental differences between the good and the bad sides of the force."
Quality
24 Hour Party People is also a good-un.
As well as Who Killed the KLF?

I was clubbing my tits off then so this was like looking into a mirror for me (a bit like the scene at the afterparty with Jip and Koop on the sofa ;)). Love the Howard Marks spliff politics cameo ๐ summed up a Britain and a generation that didnโt take itself too seriously (unlike today sadly).
I know! Itโs awful now. You could lose your mates and find randoms and nothing bad ever happened!
Got any Jungle guy?
I GOT THE TARZAN AND THE JANE OF THE JUNGLE SWUNG IN FRESH ON THE VINE THIS MORNING ๐ (or close if remember serves me right). In all fairness I did much the same facially to that baseline. Film!

Wow one of the best films of the nineties takes me back. Spot on film the good old days lol.
But have you seen Taxi Driver... ?
Danny Dyer at his best in this movie!
The coathanger bit is hilarious!

The Business is probably my favourite Danny Dyer film, not seen the Taxi so will give it a watch.
I will have to have a look at that one. Danny Dyer is always good in films. Not keen on him in Eastenders though.
Nah Eastenders is rubbish, but Danny Dyer was funny in Human Traffic. Note he wasnt in Taxi Driver, he is just talking about the movie Taxi Driver to a taxi driver. Talking about torturing Peter Andre... I will link it
Duh! Sorry, I didn’t pick you up there and yes, that part was hilarious. I also hate Peter Andre, so that is particularly hilarious to me.
Remember this very well back then, Saturday night after club M yarm back to a mates pad and session began with this movie on. Danny dyer was epic
I hated this film, maybe I was a bit of a snobby clubber back then, but every character in that film is a complete muppet. The movie is a cringe fest

Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg - Snoop UK live debut.
Crowd was bananas, show was over sold, security got rushed multiple times, police abandoned the area, chaos for hours, fights inside the venue everywhere, open weed and crack smoking, coke sniffing, displays of weaponry, dudes getting properly jacked up for their whole shit right in the crowd inside and outside...I got robbed at knifepoint myself...lost a few quid, kept all my blood lol...
Venue was Brixton Academy, about 90/91 I reckon, whatever year it was that 'The Mirror' put Snoops picture on the front page and called him an evil bastard in the headline lol....think it was to do with him being on bail for murder at the time...
Dre and Snoop opened with 'Deep Cover' in pretty much pitch black....crowd went fucking super nuts...no word of a lie, in the first minute and a half of that song about another half dozen serious fights broke out all over the place, people running through swinging shit like woah....fucking mad shit, dre and snoop only stayed on about 45 minutes as the whole shit was out of control so they pretty much fled...crowd went even fucking nuttier...
Took fucking hours to get out of Brixton, full on road block grid lock chaos madness...
But. That 45 minutes they were on stage was honestly one of the most electrifying things I have ever seen...Dre was already a seasoned performer and Snoop was still a kid and was completely fucking amped up and rocking this huge afro that made him look kind of crazy and he was completely into stoking the fuck out of the crowd which didn't help the situation lol....
I been to a lot of hip hop shows over the years but this was on some other fucking level of mad...
Notable mentions go to KRS One, Cypress Hill and Public Enemy - seen all of them multiple times and they are some of the best live performers around, their shows never disappoint and they know how to move the crowd...

man thanks so much for sharing, I only wish I could have experienced this. I no doubt would have been robbed but alas happy... xD
Dude, I shit a brick lol....yeah...I heard a song years later by Troy Scalpels, call 'It happened' and it's his story of a night out at hip hop club gone wrong and it's got this line;
'I wish I wasn't here, but the hop hop led me, the snare drum fed me, now I'm tripping, on upturned furniture'
...lol...everytime I hear it I think of that night...get the cold chill down the back... oooooh....

I been lucky man, seen so many amazing shows, Redman, Keith Murry, Das Efx, The Fugees, Onyx, Public Enemy, KRS, Funkdoobiest, Cypress Hill, half of Wu Tang (lol...)etc etc....pissed I never saw Pac or BIG though....I am biased but the 90s hip hop scene is the golden age for me man...give anything to go back and do it all again....
Has anybody seen ALL of the Wu in one place? I saw them in 2003 and it was only RZA and GZA plus a load of ransoms (and that UK guy they said was part of WTC)
Lol...I had three fucking goes at the Wu and still not seen all of them!...still never seen Inspectah Deck...the most under-rated of team but actually a killer mc...
Yes!!! Really is isn't he! Always loved Meth but have to admit Inspectah Deck is the most natural lyricist of them all
Yo this threads my jam. Who's sparking the blunt!?
My most notable concert. Rock the bells NYC can't remember what year. maybe 2016
Nas headling. DJ Premier and Pete Rock had a live beat battle. Cypress Hill on beforehand fucking smashed it, Mos Def and Talib Kwali are Blakstar before that.. Wu - Tang stage, got to see all the members apart from ODB. Mobb Deep were on their stage too. Lauren Hill played and brought out Pras and Wyclef to do some Fugees tracks. Can't remember who else but there were more.

Blunts, Stunts and Hip Hop man lol...
Daaammmnnn.....would love to have seen a Rock The Bells...they do quite a few of those full on 'mega tours' in the States...The 'Up In Smoke' tour would have been fucking awesome to see... Nas is one I never caught and would love too, Mobb Deep too...that must have been an awesome experience man.
Ha, the Fugees! Man they rock a live show. I actually saw the Fugees before they were big, they were actually playing as support for Das Efx lol!!! And first support at that, at like 9pm, real early, think it was K-Solo and Redman as 2nd support before Das on that one.
Yeah...it was at Subterania in West London, was funny actually....place is all hip hopped out, all carhart hoodies, tims and oversized jeans and bad attitudes lol then the fucking Fugees rock on to the stage and broke out the instruments and you can literally hear the 'what the fucks' all over lol...but shit....they started with Temple and it banged the fuck out the place...
Was very cool being such a small venue, at one point Lauren Hill was literally 4ft from my face on stage when she did that tune with the chorus 'some forget harlem' (I forget the name, very cool song) and I could actually hear her singing straight out her mouth kind of thing, (If that makes sense!?.. But like I could hear it before it hit the mic sort of thing..) and damn...raw, raw talent and soul and well....stunning woman visually you know...fried my weeded brain at the time, I was just like dazed out for 5 minutes, like ahhhhh, damn....lol...Saw her again at a sold out Wembley arena 10 years later...couldn't barely even see her on stage from my pauper seats lol...watched the whole thing on the side monitors...not the same...fuck the fame lol...

Jay Z at Hammersmith. Warm up act was Lupe Fiasco but Nas made an unannounced appearance as they’d just squashed the beef.

Glastonbury the same year (I think). Jurassic 5, The Roots, Everlast and Cypress Hill (pre-beef), Scratchperverts, DOOM, Slum Village, Black Twang (with Rodney P, Skinnyman and some of Mudfam), and I've a vague recollection of seeing either Cash Money or Prodigy but can't be certain.
One hell of a weekend for Hip-hop!!

Snoop was best for getting high, I was high as a motherfucker.
Nas was raw.

Went to see Cypress Hill at Barrowlands Glasgow last year and it was immense! Two of my favourite tapes ever Cypress Hill - Cypress Hill and Black Sunday!
Also last year went to the Blastoff Tour Gig which was great fun although a bit commercial with the likes of Shaggy (who was shit haha)
Nelly, Salt N Pepa (They were soo good man! lol), Shaggy, Mya and Blu Cantrell.
Hosted by Fatman Scoop and included exclusive appearances from UK garage stars So Solid members Lisa Maffia and MC Romeo, scene pioneer MC DT and the British duos Oxide & Neutrino, DJ Luck & MC Neat and Sweet Female Attitude.
The best rap show I never made was Tribe Called Quest ?

Public Enemy at Homelands Festival. It was a greatest hits set and Chuck D killed it.
I've also seen the Wu Tang Clan three times, but not once have I ever seen the full line up.

Only ever been to one, and it wasn't strictly rap. Ice T and his metal group, Body Count, at the Octagon in Sheffield. Must have been around '94 - '95. Loads of white middle-class students going mental to the anti-establishment sentiments of a black dude from LA. It was a good night.
DJ Premier - I've seen him in many cities across the world but the show he made in Paris in 2010 right after Guru's death was legendary. He arrived late but we didn't leave the venue before 4am after screaming "Fuck Solar" for hours. Primo is really a legend
Rock the Bells in Amsterdam, think it was 2009 or 10. What a line-up De La Soul, Pharcyde, Nas, EPMD. Incredible show!
This is very hard.... but Skepta in Dublin 1 year ago... man Shutdown the place. A close second is Joey Badass in Dublin 3 years ago at the Olympia Theatre.... never forget he told this small blonde girl that things were about to get heavy.. so move to the back... she didn't... she got crushed..had to be carried out. Good Times, good times.
Insane Clown Posse put on a crazy show. Tech n9nes first show in London was crazy but I'd say Flatbush Zombies at the Ritznin Manny. Ever felt that floor bounce like that
Went to see snoop in Manchester years ago and cypress hill was the surprise opening act was amazing, snoop flicked his blunt into the crowd n that thing got attacked people fighting to get it๐คฃ๐คฃ๐ฎโ๐จ๐ฎโ๐จ๐ฅ

Best UK Rapper of AlL TiME?
As much as I properly love late 90s/early 200s UKHH, I have to say that Dabbla is right up there for me.
LDZ, Dead Players, his stuff on HF, and his…

I’m old so I’d argue Kalashnekoff, Fallacy or pretty much half of the old mud fam (skinny, Chester), got to give a mention for doc brown though, new album is nice, still going
Fucking love a bit of k-lash tho... it’s murda, black rose etc yeah... gonna bang that parrowdice album like NOW lol
Fucking love a bit of k-lash tho... it’s murda, black rose etc yeah... gonna bang that parrowdice album like NOW lol
Yeh that K-lash album was a banger, actually gave it another listen not long ago and it’s still a fucking banger. I’d say any from K-lash, Kano, Taskforce and Jehst.
shed you know the deal lol! but there is no way we can put this down to ONE best uk rapper, Klash & terra firma... MUD fam, That arab uk guy from deal real days cant remember his name but TOP lyricist, Too many to mention TBH,
Shit even used to bump pound sterling and RSG. So much styles in the UK rap scene over the last 15 years its hard to say whos the number 1!

I love doc Brown's music, but the guy's an arsehole
K-lash though, man he can rap!! Even the young'uns love his stuff too
K-lash though, man he can rap!! Even the young'uns love his stuff too
That parrowdice album is absolutely timeless never get bored of listening to it, pound sterling use to like some of his stuff from back in the day? Can you remember channel u, that was on sky, had all the upcoming young english talent, use to watch religiously, use to have some mad guys on there!!!!
Great shout there - were you also a Yungun fan? He’s back with new stuff under ‘Essa’ - still awesome! Also used to bang Universal Soldiers every single day - going to put it on now in fact, happy Friday all!
Yungun! Yeah man, he had a phat album with Mr Thing called GMB (grown man business) and he got a song on there called 'peter pan syndrome' which actually makes my heart bleed.... that dude is an entertainment lawyer now!
Top album!! Yeah man that’s crazy isn’t it!! Wiccaman theory by Chester P used to get me like that! The ten pound bag mixtapes were brilliant too. Loving this thread, now reminded me of how much I love Dabbla and LDZ, having a great day :D
Ten pound baaaaagggg...oh my days... the problem with smoking so much weed is I forget too much music lol...damn, louis slipperz on the mix...some of the beats of those were mind-wreckingly phat...man, I got to dig those out...yeah, loving this thread too man, nice to know I'm not the only one still rocking out Taskforce and Skinnyman and shit...oh shit...Sway...remember that cat? He did the tune over the car racing tune..ah shit...memory lol...I know the one, think it was called 'up your speed', so many bangers lost to the pit of my weeded memory lol...
Hahaha mate 100% the same!! Weeded memory sucks!! Yeah I’d completely forgotten about Sway! Flo’ Fashion was an absolute banger as well!!
Anything off that album was fantastic.
Download still cracks me up when he's talking about going to an Internet cafe to find a man named kazaa haha.

Agree with pretty much all of the below suggestions.
Recently found this banger by Kano, D double E and Ghetts.... Such a tune, such great energy... Real uk OG's. Kano's got the longevity
... enjoy ...

Kano is tremendous live too. And so is d double e....ghetts is passable but compared to the other 2 he falls short in my eyes. I've seen all 3 of them perform multiple times
Didn’t even need to play this via link got this one backed up on the old I tunes... Badabapbap!!! Big tune
Akala for the win. Definitely NOT Skinnyman... Although I did like Council Estate of Mind.
OLDsKoOl... Return of the drifter was an epic album.. still gets alot of play in my dojo lol! How could we forget Jehst!
You like braintax too?
You like braintax too?
Still listen to “sagas of kalashnekoff”. If anyone is wondering, the film used for the skits is “Babylon”. A great film, its like a reggae “commitments”
Every Thursday at 7pm we should all go outside and start shouting "can't take no more of that"
That black cunt outta stokie, banana mango munching monkey, ill kick off ya door like jumanji!!! Hahahaha that guy!!!
Fliptrix, Chester P, Akala, Lowkey and skinny man... Can't really claim one is better than the other, they have all reached maxed skill in their unique styles
Glad to see someone get fliptrix in there. Saw him and skinny man live at subterranea just before lockdiwn and its unreal how much stage presence fliptrix has...and he's a fucking giant lol
I'm younger than some on this thread so don't know too many old school UK rappers. Mainly like old American rappers/mcs from the 90s, but would also give a vote to skinny man. Council Estate of mind is one my favourite albums of all time and its criminal he's not better known (In the mainstream).
If we're talking about modern day.. casisdead is currently the best in the scene/UK in my opinion, bar none. Can't wait for his new album to drop.

Def a personal favourite. Don’t think he’s made an average album and seen him live a couple times and never disappointed.

LDZ, Dead Players, his stuff on HF, and his solo albums on Potent Funk, he's kept it fresh, pushed hard and spits like nobody else. His wordplay is incredible.

Hmmmm, Good question man, Jehst is up there for me.. But, with the new school vibes of like Ocean Wisdom, Verb-T. I’m not sure anymore :)
Top reply that! Early Jehst is hard to beat in my book! Chester P also up there - more recently loving Lee Scott (by no means would class him as UKs greatest but he’s a personal fav of mine :)
Chester P is also a bloody lovely bloke to boot. A carer these days and seems.to have his head properly screwed on
Chester P for mayor!!
Ches is a fucking dude...he dropped one of the hottest 'fire in the street' freestyles ever...dude is deep as fuck, massive respect for him.

ches don't like MF doom he says hes a traitor to the uk scene but MF's perants moved to the US he had no choice and i just think ches is bitter and jelouse he never got what MF doom did ..
Ocean wisdom I think has one of the best flows in the UK scene Verb-T perfect for a heavy zoot and a relax
Silver Bullet, hands down is the best UK rapper (really showing my age). 20 Seconds was good but 'Bring forth the Guillotine' is a classic.
Some greats already mentioned! but Dizzie rascal has to be in there for me! . Stefflon don , Jaykae and Bugzy Malone have some tunes too. Could be cheating but 21 savage as well I’m sure I saw he was from Newham originally?
I think he is you know!!! Who was the the other mc how was orginally in the newham generals, cant remember his name to stoned!!! Haha, ive even seen him live aswell at show at london dungeons, my mate won vip ticketsto see them and dizzee and jammer!!! Only 200 people whata fucking night that was!!! Still cant remeber his name!!! Haha
Bullet from a guuuuuuunnnnn!!! Derek B was the fucking man, he must have been one of my first UK hip hop heroes! Ahhh, this brings back memories..who remembers Normski?! Cannot for the life of me remember the show he had on tv for a while but I fucking loved it...
Ooooh, that rings a bell...really can't pull it out of my brain, Normski was the presenter and it was literally the only thing on tv that had any flavour at all, was late on a Friday night iirc
Showing my age ( and probably giving away that I’m more of a guitar guy ) but The Streets first album is awesome
I think for me it’s Potter Payper if you want that real rap but grime wise I’m going to say Ghetts.
All completely subjective but
Kano is my all-time favourite.
Boy in da corner was a groundbreaking album, and has stood the test of time (still sounds amazing to this day) so Dizzee has to have a place on the UK rap Mount Rushmore.
Also high ratings and much love for Klashnekoff, JME, Sway, Devlin, and Roots Manuva.

It’s gotta be Skepta or Dizzee man!
Nothing touches Konichiwa, Boy in da corner or Showtime.. nothing!

For skill, Harry shotta. Me personally. Then Kalashnekov dizzee and the streets. A grand don’t come for free was a masterpiece
GHETTS' LATEST ALBUM SERIOUSLY MAKING ME CONSIDER HIM THE UK GOAT
HIM AND KANO ARE PROBABLY THE BEST DUO THIS COUNTRY EVERY PRODUCED

JME all day. Showing my age now.
Rating Ocean Wisdom atm tho
Far too many good ones to list on here tho.

So many to choose from such as Ghetto but I'm gonna have to go for his old mate Kano. Special place in my heart for that donny.
I get what you mean I'm mainly on about his first shit after that he got annoying as fuck when he switched his style tbh lol
It’s all a bit mid 2000s Roll Deep etc. Good proving grounds for the future, some good MCs came out of it, but in itself it’s pretty shit. I mean compare that to some Wu Tang shit, which I guess would be the New York streets equivalent 15 years earlier... doesn’t even compare.
Not the most original post, but if what I read on the internet it true, then I would say MF DOOM, (apparently born in London).
To be honest, there isn't one, it's so hard to choose just one when there's so much talent out there.
I know he doesn’t rap anymore, but Plan B in his prime was exceptional. The Paint it Blacker Mixtape is one of my all time favourites
Not a fan of him as a person but Slowthai has been doing some really good stuff for a while now deserves a mention. Loyle Carner also I think Lyrically is very nice
There are plenty contenders, but considering quality of his music, duration of career, significance/legacy etc, I think you need to go a long way to better Kano as one of the greats in the UK.
Lowkey, songs banned in USA raided by mi5 no one can match his word play only guy to do chip in a beef. Too real too intelligent.
Dutty goodz is the king for me, chester p, lowkey, akala are also faves, and ocean wisdom for technicality, not so keen on his content but he's got very diverse flows and spot-on delivery.
Not saying he's the best but he defo up there can't believe no one shouted out MR Traumatik, he's a fucking savage ๐
elder; crazy t, wiley, killa p, flowdan, riko dan, trim, dizzee, tempz
younger; kyeza, rocks foe, faultsz, K9, mez, saint p
stress on kyeza and rocks foe

Devs aint even a rapper.. grime spitter. Never even done rap or hip hop. No wonder. Jimmy.

Yeah, they'll not though. They'll blame everyone BUT themselves. That's why we are where we are.
Brexit Began Here
Rowling sprouted a cursed hatred upon Irish, Slavs and basically anything EU. The rest is Muggle history.
Casting spells of angry facebook memes.. And when all the shit starts (couple of weeks now) they will simply blame all those foreigners again.. Exciting, isn't it?

Have you heard of murkage? Sorry if he's included I don't do Spotify but murkage seems appropriate, Mary Jane is a tune!
Hes just playing the stereotypical 'roadman' image most the youth have fallen into that trap. Same as the american youth in the 90s with the 'gangsta rap' it just got rebranded 'roadman' instead of 'thug'

Creating and selling art outside of the established system
Hello! I appreciate I'm likely VERY late to the party, but having had my fill of all things digital early doors, I've been enjoying a somewhat analogue existence since.
Selling art IRL has become an exercise in algorithm attendance and, for the most part, a laundry service for those what have. I'm not interested in that. I want to create and distribute art in a way that's accessible, and ideally with as few barriers to entry as possible.
I've begin looking around but there's too much information, and so much of it making empty or unrealistic promises and with most having a reliance on social media as a carrier, I'm at a loss on where to begin.
And so I'm hoping I can draw on the collective knowledge of the LB hive mind... Where do I start reading please?

How This Digital Artist Made $370,000 in Crypto on Their 18th Birthday
Check out places like Niftygateway, OpenSea, Superrare, OurZora, Makersplace.
There is a big change in the way artists, including music artists, are creating/selling their work. All the suggested above have their own sort of methods, but from what I see, artists are finally getting their work out to everyday people alongside actually being in control of their sales platform, royalties and produce.
Go explore and I hope you manage to find something that best suits you. Enjoy the rabbithole!

whats the best strain for a blast of creativeness for example song writing
As has been said, most sativa dominant strains will do the trick. Classic Hazes will be a particularly safe bet.
However, I've noticed that how and when you consume affects the extent of the creative boost. Don't smoke or drink through the day and eat little and often (graze). Avoid caffeine. Then, when you're more naturally feeling creative (for me that's around 10pm) spark up and get busy.

An early cropped sativa dominant hybrid should do the trick. Closest on here is the ammunation amnesia haze.
Hello mate I’d go for a Sativa like Silver Haze, radar breeder has some..Very alert uplifting drop

Difference between hash and bud
Is it a matter of preference or is there real differences
Bud is the flower of a cannabis plant.
Hash is made from the pollen/keif/resin on bud that gets harvested and compressed into hash.
Hash is generally stronger and has more immediate psychoactive effects. However with today's obsession with potent bud, I wouldn't imagine that's so often the case.
I'm sure there's plenty on here that could give you a more precise answer though.

Leaf/trim
Years ago, after I quite smoking cigarettes, I used to buy big old bags of leaf/trim for packing out joints rather than tobacco or a substitute.
I don't know if it was just the dealer I used at the time that offered it but it was great as it would mean I could smoke hash or decent bud and it wouldn't knock me for six, especially during the day.
Does anybody do that these days?
I've been using a dry herb vape for a few years now but really fancy a joint or two, and substitutes never taste quite the same.

Hey mate. We've not long listed popcorn buds and they sold out quick. We'll be listing some trim and leaf soon so keep an eye out on our wall. It will be ideal for what your wanting to use it for. It came from our clusterbomb grow. That strain went down a storm on here. Like I said keep checking back and take a look.
