What are you using to be able to select the timing? Anyone that has the option should just be using the flexible option and not worrying about it... Not everyone has the option

Not currently mate. It's pay the maximum or it won't get through at the moment. It was over 300 sat/vB for entry to the block just before confirmation yesterday (19/11), and if you weren't paying the maximum then that 1 hour quickly turns into 24 hours or more as people pay higher and higher fees, and the 24 hour one never gets confirmed.

I got quite lucky. Tbh I find fees change really randomly. $70 could be $20 fee and $71.50 is a $5. Worth a play anyway.

It's risky, I've seen multiple cases when the 0 fee flexible payment still hasn't cleared after 8 weeks.. you probably might start worrying then! Besides vendors have cut off times etc & with my THC appetite I can just about wait 24hrs for NDD as it is 😂

I have access to SafePal & Bitvavo (registered outside UK). Otherwise I use Coinbase with my regular uk bank.

These btc network fees are ridiculous atm, there needs to be a change and an alternative payment system implemented even when btc calms down. I feel like the fees may price out a lot of people from LB and would force people to look for alternatives. Really hope this gets sorted soon as I love LB but I won’t be able to continue using if the fees remain this high. 21/11/23 18:05

You know LB has escrow yeah?…your coin is held giving you the opportunity to dispute your order. If you dispute then the coin does not get released to the vendor until the dispute is resolved. If there is no resolution between you and the vendor then auto resolution Borg resolves it based on the algorithm.

Auto Resolution Borg has no proof as to who is telling the truth in a dispute so the algorithm uses ‘reputation’ to calculate the resolution. Reputation is based on things like time on the site, number of purchases, disputes, voting history etc. The same applies to the vendor. For example, noobs will likely get a lower % refund than long term Biggas….

Nah. It’s way too easy to open any number of new accounts, place an order and then say you didn’t receive it and dispute for refund. You could do that endlessly. Hence why noobs have no ‘reputation’. Obviously that makes it tough on a noob who genuinely gets screwed and is the reason to only use highly rated long term vendors until you know what you are doing👍

Your order range and dispute percentage is shown on your profile page but this is not always visible to anyone, it’s strangely random. What is visible is your joining date so noobs are fortunately obvious and vendors can decide if they want to accept the order…

I believe, but don't quote me, that it's designed so that a Bigga who didn't take the piss would get a full refund at auto dispute resolution. I did the 1 time a dispute went to auto resolution. It's not in anyone's interests to give full refunds to accounts who dispute a lot, and it doesn't get missed by the algorithm. Other things taken into account are average purchase amount, and presumably large orders, as if a buyer ordered lots of small items, then disputed a huge order I'd be wondering about that myself, and I'm neither AI nor Borg. As with lots of things on here involving AI you'll never work it out completely.

Algorithmic settlement will be decided based on the reputation of both parties.

I can ignore the vendors wanting to get rich quick, but the fees are a stickler for me right now, been off it almost a week and will almost definitely not be ordering tonight so that's another fortnight without.

This site won't crash and burn, there are plenty of decent vendors on here youve just got to be carefull who your buying off. I tend to stick with the same 2 or 3 vendors who I can trust.

It will if nobody can afford Bitcoin transfer fees. Which will continue to fluctuate as Bitcoin in the context of Biggy is just too volatile as a viable payment method.
